Itay Lavie
Applied Math Graduate Student
Itay is an Applied Mathematics PhD student at Harvard, broadly interested in how simple components interact to give rise to complex, intelligent phenomena. His research focuses on applying tools from theoretical physics to better understand how neural networks learn, represent, and generalize. Before joining the Pehlevan group, he completed an MSc in physics at the Hebrew University, where he studied the theory of deep learning, and a BSc in physics, where he worked on dark matter and particle cosmology.
