Vicente is an Applied Mathematics PhD student interested in machine learning theory. His research uses tools from statistical physics to better understand how neural networks learn efficiently from data. He holds a MSc in physics from EPFL and a BSc in physics engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon.
