William is a Graduate Student in Applied Mathematics, with broad interests in understanding the computational basis of intelligent behavior. Prior to joining the Pehlevan group, he received a BA in computer science and statistics from Columbia University, where he worked on modeling the human perception of faces, and decoding spike trains from natural-scene stimuli. During a brief stint in industry, he designed document-ingest pipelines to extract key information from loan application termsheets and airplane service logs.
